Dog Friendly Holiday Cottages in Devon

Dogs are welcome at Gogwell House, Buzzards House and Spring Cottage. We do not allow pets upstairs.

As a family with five dogs, we know the importance of our four legged friends. A holiday wouldn't be a holiday without them.

Gogwell is surrounded by beautiful countryside with a multitude of footpaths. The pubs (that we go to) allow furry friends and upon arrival back at the house there is an outdoor tap to wash off the deep red Devon mud. Dog towels are provided. After the walk the dogs can either dry off in the dog kennel, fully equipped with a heat lamp and dog beds, or in the boot room.

Saunton Sands beach and the dunes behind, the Tarka Trail, Exmoor, Dartmoor, the canal and the River Exe are all heavenly for dogs.

Boot rooms and muddy paws

Gogwell has a large map-lined boot room which doubles up as a place for dog beds. Buzzards House has a boot room papered with OS maps of the area, which is the best place for the dog beds.

Buzzards House and Spring Cottage are very close to the National Trust's Buzzards Wood, with gorgeous walks along the River Dart.
