Buzzards Wood Walks in Mid-Devon

Buzzards House and Spring Cottage sit beside the National Trust's Buzzards Wood, in a much loved, precious part of Devon. The woods are a total joy, with gorgeous walks along the River Dart.

At Buzzards House you enter through a boot room papered with OS maps of the area, showing all the great walks. It is the place to hang coats, leave boots and put the dog beds. The gardens are huge, with a real sense of space and of being surrounded by the heart of Devon.

Spring Cottage is snuggled in the woods very close to Buzzards Wood. It has its own orchard and access to the Little Dart in the far corner, and you may hear owls at night and see a roe deer in the orchard.

Dogs are welcome at both houses, though we do not allow pets upstairs.
