Romantic Getaways for Couples in Devon

Spring Cottage is a renovated one-up, one-down cottage near Buzzards Wood, a romantic bolthole for couples with a free-standing bath.

Upstairs

A gorgeous, huge bedroom with a superking bed, lovely linen and a decadent large free standing bath. French windows look out onto the balcony.

Wake up to the sound of birdsong, hear the owls, and every now and again a roe deer pops into the orchard. Buzzards Woods is all around you and it is a heavenly place to stay.

Downstairs

You enter Spring Cottage straight into the cosy sitting room with its wood burning stove in the old bread oven fireplace. There are sofas, and books, maps and games in the chest.

The old woodshed is now a lovely little kitchen, with a fridge, freezer, cooker, hob and dishwasher. It opens through a stable door onto the outside eating area and on into the orchard. There is also a loo and shower.

The setting

Spring Cottage is snuggled in the woods very close to the National Trust's Buzzards Wood. It has its own orchard and access to the Little Dart in the far corner. Dogs are welcome, though we do not allow pets upstairs.

Tiverton Parkway station is around a 15 minute drive away, and trains to and from London take around two hours.
