Family Holidays in Mid-Devon

Gogwell House and Buzzards House are comfortable family houses in Mid-Devon, with gardens, games and, at Gogwell, a heated pool.

Gogwell House

The heated pool is 15m long with two shallow ends, and is open between April and October. It is ideal for home rules water polo, and many children have learnt to swim here.

The huge garden is fenced and is a mixture of orchards, hide and seek spots, lovely trees, a swing and hammocks, with a croquet lawn beside the veranda. The old stables are now a games room with a ping pong table, darts, table football, badminton, rounders, swing ball, cricket bats and more.

A dressing room holds two small beds for children, and we also have a cot.

Buzzards House

Buzzards has a TV and sitting room with books, board games, jigsaws and comfy sofas, and a warm, sunny conservatory for reading and playing games while the Little Dart flows past. The gardens are huge, with a real sense of space, and the National Trust's Buzzards Wood is close by.

Buzzards has French windows onto a south facing veranda, which gives the house a lovely inside outside sense of space.
