Spring Cottage is a renovated woodland cottage for two, near the National Trust's Buzzards Wood in Devon. It has a superking bed, a large free-standing bath and a wood burner, and suits a honeymoon or an anniversary.

The cottage is small and private: one bedroom upstairs, a sitting room downstairs and a small kitchen in the old woodshed. The bedroom has French windows onto a balcony, and the free-standing bath is in the bedroom.

You may hear owls at night and see a roe deer in the orchard. Spring Cottage has its own orchard and access to the Little Dart in the far corner.

The sitting room has a wood burning stove in the old bread oven fireplace, sofas, and a chest of books, maps and games. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, cooker, hob and dishwasher, and a stable door onto the outside eating area.

Out and about

Before you book

Spring Cottage has one bedroom with a superking bed, so it suits two people. Dogs are welcome, but not upstairs. Tiverton Parkway station is around a 15 minute drive away, and trains from London take around two hours.
